Grant used chemical vapor deposition to deposit Vantablack onto his helmet to tie together his two biggest interests, hockey and sun protection. This dark coating absorbs 99.965% of light so that very few photons can contact his gingerly skin. Grant’s playing style mimics a door off its hinges. Off the ice Grant is in the process of getting “Cha” back from freshman year and is actually kind of succeeding.
